Sarah Maria Coffey As Cover Story Interview – January 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Sarah Maria Coffey, a film actor and body double from Dublin, Ireland.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I have been through a lot of austerity and obstacles from childhood to adulthood; I feel I have lived so many lives. I’ve been down and up again and again. I believe you have to struggle to strive for everything. I’ve been through it all, and all my experiences have helped me develop myself as an actress and my emotional vocabulary.
What do people usually not know about you?
Most people don’t know that I have dyslexia. I’m so driven and focused when I’m locked in; it has no effect on my career or abilities. No one has ever realized. I’ve had to work 10 times harder on my lines and other aspects of my work. It has been a challenge at times, but I love a challenge.
What sets you apart from others?
I never judge myself next to other actors or people. We are all on our own journey, and we are all in different stages of our journey. I never had a silver spoon in my mouth. I came from humble beginnings, but I’ve always strived and had a hunger and passion for what I do. I’m forever learning and challenging myself mentally and physically, pushing myself and growing as a person and as an actress.
What are your upcoming major events?
I have been cast in a series as a lead. We will be filming at the end of this year. It’s an action role, so it will be fun to watch. It’s in post-production at the moment. I will be doing weapons training this year, and I have a lot of auditions lined up, so it’s all action this year.
What expert advice would you like to give?
If you want to get into the film industry or business and you are really passionate about the arts, learn the craft and develop your skills, and block out the outside noise. Never expect people to understand what you do and why you do it. Never take the no from the last audition to the next; it will destroy you. Keep moving, always keep your head up, and keep going. Stay strong and stand tall.
