How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Sabrina Sancic but sometimes due to my business name which is Bella Crystal Design a lot of people call me Bella. I am a leading designer in the Crystal strassing craft business which specializes in hand placed crystallized custom items. I am an entrepreneur that has led the way with cultural designs incorporated into fashion making a niche market a very trendy one. I have been in business for 11 years, working for various celebrities and international artists.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
This is not an easy question to answer as I have had many downs as I have had ups. Growing up I was told that I was limited in potential. I was one to learn differently. More so by using my hands and doing the actual process. I also felt so lost in my purpose and lacked a lot of self confidence. With all the confusion it led me having trouble fitting in and oftentimes had feelings of being alone in the most crowded places. I had to really overcome my own doubts and fears of rejection and the consistent pattern of being told I could not and would not. Breaking this cycle was probably one of the hardest things I ever had to do because I was so engrained to believe in it. I worked 3 jobs while putting myself through college and university which I was told I would never be able to attend. I worked, I worked constantly on myself and earned my spot in education. I graduated with a diploma and a degree all while hustling to earn the income to be there. Nothing was a hand out for me. But I am grateful for the hunger in my work ethic because it led me to be this woman I was meant to become.
What do people usually not know about you?
They know I can actually be pretty shy yet very outgoing at the same time. I am a taurus full out. I like to view and analyze people’s energy and their vibe before letting my true self unfold. Once I feel at ease I am the comedian of the group. I love making people laugh.
What sets you apart from others?
I think about my work ethic in business. It’s very easy to get caught up in your sob story and how hard you’ve had it. But we all have had some very hard times. What you do with those hardtimes says it all. How hungry are you to overcome that and earn the dream life you want? Everybody sees and wants the glory but they don’t know the story. Success in business and within your own power and identity come with the grit and times no one is watching. The accolades come when you’re willing to do the jobs that no one wants to do. Working tired, sick, not well, sad leads to a bigger picture. My ability to turn to my passion and my craft even though I may be having a very hard day or week can set me apart.
What are your upcoming major events ?
I will be making a few appearances at different business networking events. I just wrapped up at the Canadian Croatian Chain of commerce gala taking home the Entrepreneur of the year award 2025. I will be at the Sports Media festival in Croatia as well as ACAP which is connecting Croatians globally at their yearly conference in Chicago.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Never ever compare your chapter 3 to someone’s chapter 30. Just because someone may be doing better than you, shouldn’t be a reason to criticize or hate on them. Instead befriend them, ask for advice, cheer them on and most importantly focus on your lane in front of you. It took me many years and long nights and early mornings to reach this level of success so comparing myself to someone who went before me not only stunts my growth it lowers my energy. Lifting others up will not only invite abundance in your life, it just feels good to be supportive of others. Your time will come and when it does you will want others to be supportive of you too.
