Richard Walters  As Cover Story Interview – February 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

I introduce myself as Morpheus (Richard) aka Richard Walters.  Similar to Childish Gambino/Donald Glover.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Staying the course. It’s very difficult to reach for your dreams and turn them to reality. It’s been a 10 year journey for me and the amount of obstacles you face can really test your self belief.

What do people usually not know about you?

That I’m a proud nerd. Always have been, always will be! Anime is life for me, I love to learn about things, I wore a dress shirt with a diamond sweater over top in high school…and I still wear the combination today.

What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?

What I believe sets me apart is how the hardships, dedication, and total belief in myself has developed me.  What I mean by this is, I know I’m destined to be in this industry. I faced hardships that became great life lessons. It fueled my dedication to later develop into an almost delusional/unrealistic belief in myself. That no matter what,  I will succeed. I’ve heard, by studying the greats, that delusion is necessary to reaching the top.

What are your upcoming major events – Unforgettable Moments or products/services that you want to promote/inform?

More music, future performances and an appearance on a major hit TV Show.  I’m not allowed to say the name yet but stay tuned.  In the past three months I’ve released 5 songs. I just completed a song writing clinic.  I’m super excited for the listeners around the world to hear my evolution and versatility as an artist and what’s to come next.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Every closed door, every rejection; every disappointment is fuel.  Program your brain to receive these things as learning lessons, a time to reflect (not beat yourself up)… a time to grow. This industry is full of no’s and you have to be able to use them in way that benefits you.
