How do you introduce yourself?
Hi! My name is Ren Edwards. I’m a North Atlanta–based signature event and lifestyle photographer creating timeless, classic imagery with an editorial aesthetic.
What hardships have you gone through in life?
I’ve walked through many hardships in life, but the toughest was navigating the grief of losing my father to cancer unexpectedly—in a matter of weeks—years ago. I’ve only made it through because of my faith in Jesus Christ.
What do people usually not know about you?
My heritage stems from the island of Grenada! I’m originally from Los Angeles, CA. I adore exploring modern, European-themed coffee shops. I love narrative and free-verse poetry. I’ve loved photography since childhood and was always taking photos and documenting moments.
What sets you apart from others?
I’ve been told my personality truly sets me apart! I find absolute JOY in celebrating my clients behind the lens and joining you in your moments—whether it’s documenting an event that reflects your hard work or capturing a life change such as a wedding. I personally curate every image to ensure my clients receive the best possible photos, and every session is a partnership between us. When it comes to posing and guidance, I never want a client to feel alone or unsure of what to do next. Simplicity is my foundation.
What are your upcoming major events?
I’ll be launching my blog soon, highlighting each client’s story—how the day felt, and the purpose and work behind it.
What expert advice would you like to give?
I love this question, and someone asked me this recently! I’d say: make sure the photographer you choose for your event aligns with what you’re looking for both aesthetically and personality-wise. They should feel like part of your team. For the smoothest experience, incorporate your photographer into your event timeline and always communicate openly.
