Rebecca Olivia Hodges As Cover Story Interview – February 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

Hi! I’m Rebecca Olivia Hodges, a professional voice actress that loves the art and business of voiceover.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

The few struggles I’ve endured have created a resilient, kind human being. With that said, I’m afflicted with hEDS (hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome), a connective tissue disorder that causes joint pain, fatigue, and issues with digestive, cardiovascular, and autonomic systems. Every day there is a question mark on how my body will respond to my environment, but I try my best to put forth a positive outlook and take on whatever may come.

What do people usually not know about you?

I’m pretty open about sharing who I am! I love anime, technology, collecting memorabilia and figurines from TV shows, movies, & video games, reading books & manga, drawing, writing, attending live music events (I have an eclectic music taste, in my opinion, but I love heavy metal), Star Trek, esoteric mystical subjects, and so much more. It’s difficult to say what people might NOT know about me – I guess just ask and find out? Ha!

What sets you apart from others?

It’s difficult to separate myself from others by saying that I’m ‘different’, as I combine aspects of many people’s positive and negatives – the more experiences I have with others, the more I know and understand about the world around me. If I had to pinpoint something that sets me apart from others, I’d say it’s my daily endeavor to maintain a positive, forward-thinking outlook on life and to share that sunshine & joy with others.

What are your upcoming major events?

I’ll be attending quite a few voiceover conferences as an attendee, namely VO Atlanta 2026, Get Outta Your Booth, and the One Voice Conference in Dallas, TX. I hope to maintain and create new friendships, business partnerships, and learning opportunities.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Each person’s journey is different – yours will never be the same as someone else’s. Learn all that you can every single day from a plethora of resources, including your peers; there’s ALWAYS something you can learn from another person. Be kind, open-minded, and know that every day is an opportunity to better yourself – just 1% every day can add up.
