Ralitsa Arnaudova As Cover Story Interview – January 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
I am a wife, and a mum of two beautiful daughters. This year I am representing Scotland at the Miss Elegance of the World pageant contest. My journey in pageantry began out of my desire to be a role model for my girls, to inspire them to dream big and be their best selves. I am a Chartered Marketer by profession and Assistant Professor at university. I hold 6 university degrees, currently finishing my PhD. I am also an author of 5 books, keen educator and charity volunteer.
What hardships did you face in your life & career?
Juggling so many hats as a woman doesn’t come without its consequences. I feel like I have been neglecting myself to care for those around me. This year I will be focusing on my own health and wellbeing before everything else. I love to push myself above and beyond my abilities and always have high expectations for myself, not always realistic but I believe worth it. Setting the bar high enough myself keeps me outside of my comfort zone, meaning external challenges and hardships look small in comparison to the ones I purposefully create for myself.
What sets you apart from others?
Currently I am within the 0.01% most formally educated people on Earth, holding 6 qualifications. I have been a professional athlete for 12 years which has made me incredibly resilient and disciplined in all areas of my life. Motivated to elevate other women to the next level, in 2025 I published my first book – Graceful Hustle: The Feminine Guide to Powerful Productivity. I love producing educational resources for both adults and children. In my latest charity initiative – the My Planet project – I created 3 educational Colour, Rhyme and Learn books, first of their kind, to educate and inspire children to love and care for our planet. I am also the author of the one and only of its kind Pageant Queen Colouring: Manifest Your Dream Crown book.
What people usually don’t know about you?
People at work think I work as if I have no life outside work, while my social circle thinks I never work – which is an absolute compliment! I have a rich, well-rounded, wonderful life with many hobbies and interests. I have been a keen self-taught graphic designer for about 10 years now. I love interior design and organising and decorating for special events and occasions. I love floristry and do my own floral arrangements. When I feel insecure, my go-to relief is rewatching the Harry Potter series over and over again.
What are your upcoming major events?
2026 is going to be an incredible year. I have launched my second charity mini seasonal pageant Miss Spring Elegance, which will be followed by Miss Summer Elegance. They both raise money for Cancer Research UK. In preparation for my pageant’s final I am launching the Beyond Elegance online magazine and the Beyond Elegance pageant podcast, both aiming at empowering current and aspiring pageant queens. I have recently trademarked a global pageant which will also launch in 2026. Aside from that I have book promotions and my charity campaigns before heading back to my academic work in September and to finish my PhD. And of course, my 10-year wedding anniversary in June, the 1st birthday of my baby and 5th birthday of my elder daughter, who is also starting school this year.
What will be your Expert Advice to people?
Rome wasn’t built in a day and the same applies to your confidence! Don’t be afraid of being yourself and remember that confidence is a muscle that needs to be worked on. Don’t let dreams pass you buy and trust your intution, the more you listen to it, the stronger it becomes. Whether you think you can or cannot you are always right!
