Introduction
I am María Graciela Aguirre Hernández, a lawyer by profession, and in my 20 years in Spain I have combined my legal career with extensive experience in modeling and representation. I have walked the catwalk, worked in television, and represented Venezuela in the Dominican Republic. My career as a model began in childhood and has continued to this day.
Currently, I lead a real estate project, and I have also won the Miss Elegance Ibiza 2025 contest, which reinforces my commitment to women’s empowerment. I deeply believe in energy, in the tribe of women, and in collaboration and synergy among us.
What hardships did you face in your life?
It is an honor to reflect on such an essential aspect, because difficulties are not failures, but silent teachers that shape our essence. My most defining journey was emigrating to Spain two decades ago. It was an act of immense love that required a profound sacrifice: leaving my profession, my family, and the entire life I knew. The real challenge was not the geographical threshold, but sustaining the journey. There is a subtle and persistent hardship in building a future here, dealing day after day with the weight of my loved ones’ absence.
However, instead of seeing those moments as losses, I embrace them as the foundation of my strength. Love for my origins became the driving force for success, and the resilience forged in the distance is what celebrates this victory today. It is proof that the heart, when driven by hope, has the capacity to blossom beautifully.
What do people usually don’t know about you?
What is exposed to the world is the narrative of strength and triumph: the immigrant who rebuilt her life. But what people don’t perceive on a daily basis is the constant management of vulnerability.
Behind the armor of resilience lies extreme sensitivity. What few people know is that the energy behind each of my achievements is sustained by an invisible but palpable thread of melancholy. My life is a beautiful emotional duality: here, I am a confident and successful woman; but in silence, my heart remains anchored in the memory of what I left behind. This contradiction does not weaken me; on the contrary, it is my most intimate driving force. It is the secret source of my inexhaustible empathy and a reminder that true elegance lies not in not falling, but in the nobility with which we rise. This is my most cherished truth: a heart that suffers and loves with equal intensity is, without a doubt, a strong heart.
What sets you apart from others?
If I had to name what distinguishes me, I would say that it is not a singular attribute, but rather the unique perspective that my journey has given me. What sets me apart—in the most beautiful sense—is the deep resilience forged by rebuilding my life. This journey has given me a sensitivity that turns every experience into an inexhaustible source of inspiration. This vision allows me to act as a beacon of hope, resonating with the struggles and joys of others and creating a deep connection around me. My greatest value in uniting and inspiring the world lies in my story and the energy that emanates from it.
What are your upcoming events?
My upcoming events are defined by the passion and dynamism of a full life. My day-to-day is heavily influenced by my professional project in the real estate sector, an area that requires dedication and impeccable time management. This busy and diverse schedule is complemented by my vocation as a professional model—a dream I have had since childhood—which was beautifully reflected in my title of Miss Elegance Ibiza 2025 in September. Far from being a distraction, this crown is a platform for female empowerment. It is living proof that you can be a businesswoman, a model, and a beacon of light, proclaiming that age is simply a number that enriches our beauty. My mission is to inspire this truth, living my purpose with the utmost elegance.
What would be your expert advice?
I am greatly honored to share the pearls of wisdom that the journey has given me. If I had to distill my experience into three essential pieces of advice for life, they would be:
- Honor Your Roots, Embrace the Seed: Never let the difficulty of a new beginning overshadow the courage of your flight. Resilience is the most sublime act of self-love. Remember the nobility of your roots, for they are the foundation that gives you the strength to blossom beautifully in any new soil.
- Redefine the Beauty of Time: Understand that age is not a mark, but an amplifier. True elegance resides in wisdom, experience, and the inner light that only time can bestow. Keep your spirit vibrant, for the beauty that emanates from knowledge is timeless and magnetic.
- Passion is the currency of success: Don’t be afraid of a busy schedule. If you align your work (such as real estate) with your purpose, passion becomes your inexhaustible energy. Mastery lies in balancing all facets of your being with grace and determination.
