Makenzie Dabell As Cover Story Interview – July 2025 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
Well my name is Makenzie, I’m an amateur equestrian riding in the hunter jumper ring. I’m also a singer and guitarist. I’m 20 and I work my very hard to reach my goals. I have big dreams and hope to one day make them all a possibility for myself. I’m a very genuine and happy person.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Right now I would say my biggest hardship is loving myself and being confident with who I am. I struggle in believing I can make my dreams come true. I am a huge over-thinker so when it comes to making decisions about my life and future I get overwhelmed very easily. But I am working very hard to be the best version of myself.
What do people usually not know about you?
That’s a really good question. I’m an open book. And I really like to talk. But I don’t like to show my struggles. So on the outside I like to show a confident person but on the inside I may be feeling different. And maybe that I love to learn. About almost anything and i love to listen when people want to talk to me.
What sets you apart from others?
I would say something that sets me apart from others would possibly be, my bubbly personality and my passion. I try my very best to bring happiness to other peoples lives. I do my best to stay true to who I am which is very bubbly even when times may seem rough. I’m very passionate about what I do and who I am. I put my all into everything I do and I always looking for the beauty and happiness in everything.
What are your upcoming major events ?
Some major events in my life. Well I’m preparing for the Inland empire hunter jumper association year end show. With my horse Maverick. Last year we went to Vegas for the United States hunter jumper association national show. And we did really well. My goal is to go back to that huge show in the next couple of years. I also am working on furthering my music I’m not sure how yet but I am working on it.
What expert advice would you like to give?
I’m not sure if I have any expert advice but something would tell everyone is to, find the beauty in all things. Don’t waste time on looking for perfection. And find the beauty in the imperfections.
