Liz Schiller was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with Liz.
Liz Schiller As Cover Story Interview- August 2025 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
Picture a white coat wannabe food scientist mixed with a behind the desk, resourceful, “I’ll find out no matter what” investigator, and you’ll find me — the quiet one working away behind the camera, loyal, methodical, and never leaving a stone unturned. Don’t get me wrong, I do love getting dressed up for a special event… as long as I’m home by 9pm and tucked up in bed with a tea (or, let’s be real, a hot chocolate). I’m Liz Schiller — co founder of Charlie Amelia, our family run athleisure brand where we design pieces you can wear anywhere. I’m also the creator of Tonik Fusion, a healthy hot chocolate blended with medicinal mushrooms and super herbs, and a Certified Integrated and Intuitive Nutrition Coach. My career began in Human Resources and later moved into production and manufacturing in the rag trade. What really lights me up is taking those lightning bolt ideas and bringing them to life, whether that’s through clothing you’ll actually live in or wellness products that do more than just sit on a shelf.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Plenty. Like so many, I’ve had my share of health challenges — adrenal fatigue, heart disease, hyperthyroidism, autoimmune issues — and then perimenopause came in like a wrecking ball just for good measure. It’s been… character building, let’s call it that. Stress management aka slowing down is still my Achilles’ heel (and yes, my two morning espressos are both my therapy and my nemesis), but I’ve learned that when life throws you a curveball, you don’t just dodge — you figure out how to hit it back, even if it’s a bit messy at first.
What do people usually not know about you?
That I’m rarely still. Not in the busy for the sake of it way, but I’m always working on something — my health, my family life, my career, or my next big idea. I practice aerial yoga in a swing, which makes me feel about 20 years younger (and slightly circus ready). I’ve also recently thrown myself into learning French and taken up an Intro to Pole class. If my hormones are going to try and sabotage me, I may as well be strong, bendy, and bilingual while I fight back.
What sets you apart from others?
I think it’s my willingness to lean in when life gets tough. I don’t see challenges as life sentences — I see them as lessons. When something feels off, I dig in, learn, make changes (even small ones), and try to improve the situation. I’m constantly evolving — whether that’s in business, health, or life — and I think that curiosity and drive to keep moving forward is what keeps me grounded and growing.
What are your upcoming major events?
Professionally, we’re deep in the design process for a new Charlie Amelia range that’s really exciting — something I haven’t seen done in the athleisure space before. It’s fresh, clever, and I can’t wait for people to see it. Personally, I’ve started at a French language school — it’s something I’ve always wanted to do. And, as mentioned, I’ve signed up for a pole dancing class to keep those muscles working. Exercise has to be fun for me, and honestly, the classes go so quickly that I forget I’m working out… until the bruises appear.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Don’t wait for the “perfect time” to start. Whether it’s improving your health, learning something new, or chasing an idea, small steps matter more than big, unfulfilled intentions. Choose exercise you actually enjoy — life’s too short for boring workouts. And keep your pantry stocked with a few healthy staples like tinned beans — it’s a game changer when life gets busy.
