Lexx Sequoia As Cover Story Interveiw – August 2025 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
Lexx Sequoia is a recording artist from Moreno Valley, California. Her artistic evolution blends Hip Hop, dream-trap, and electronic dance. After her breast cancer diagnosis and journey as a now survivor, Lexx Sequoia embraces her music and fashion passions with renewed purpose. A true inspiration to everyone worldwide.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Losing a parent is probably at the top of my list as far as hardships. After that would definitely be battling cancer. I believe after my mom passed I strayed away from my true self, from music and my calling. It wasn’t until I beat cancer that I remembered who I was and really stepped back into who I was destined to be all along. My love for God and continuing my mom’s legacy fuels my mission to advocate worldwide, using my own testimony to inspire others to make it through their own hardships.
What do people usually not know about you?
Growing up in a world steeped in fashion and music, I made my first Music Video cameo at just six years old in “The Anthem,” for the iconic Wake Up Show with Sway & King Tech—an early brush with global hip-hop culture. My parents worked closely with Sway and King Tech on clothing lines “Chèvere” for women and “Big Game Hunters” for men — which is the clothing line mentioned by Sway in the infamous Kanye West interview that birthed the viral saying “YOU DON’T HAVE THE ANSWERS SWAY!” (He does have the answers by the way that’s my fam lol).
What sets you apart from others?
I have a beautiful perspective on life that sets me apart from others. I’m not just focused on results— I am committed to creating a lasting impact through a strong sense of purpose. And helping others to find theirs.
What are your upcoming major events?
The next major album release will be on my birthday September 22, 2025 produced by Stevie Crooks. I’m currently channeling all of my energy into my music releases, fashion endeavors, and global advocacy work, continuing to expand my artistic footprint.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Always keep God first in anything you do. The world will have its distractions so it’s very important to stay you and be true to yourself at all times. We are the creators of our own reality so make it the best life that you can, everything else really doesn’t matter.
