Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Becoming a mother at 21, while still in college, was one of the most challenging and transformative experiences of my life. I was living in Mississippi, navigating school, work, and life with limited resources but a deep sense of purpose. That moment shifted everything for me. I no longer had the luxury of hesitation—I had to be focused, disciplined, and relentless. My daughter became my reason to keep pushing forward, even when the odds were stacked against me.
That experience shaped my work ethic and ambition in ways nothing else could. It taught me how to lead with intention, prioritize what matters, and build something lasting. From college to law school to launching my own firms, the lessons I learned as a young mother continue to guide me. I do not just chase success—I build with legacy in mind.
What do people usually not know about you?
Most people see me as the polished attorney and business strategist, but what they usually do not know is that I am deeply introverted. I thrive in quiet, reflective spaces—journaling, reading, and planning. That stillness is where some of my best ideas are born and where I do my deepest thinking.
While I genuinely enjoy speaking, networking, and leading, I have to be very intentional about protecting my energy. I build in time to pause, reset, and recharge so I can continue showing up fully. That balance between public presence and private restoration is essential to how I lead and create.
What sets you apart from others?
I bridge two worlds of law and business with a lens grounded in healthcare, operations, and equity. But what truly sets me apart is my ability to see the vision that others often struggle to articulate. I have a gift for connecting the dots between someone’s passion, purpose, and potential and then crafting the legal and strategic roadmap to bring it to life. I do not just draft documents. I help build legacies. My clients often come to me with incredible ideas but do not always know how to make them real or protect them. That is where I shine.
I can sit across from a healthcare provider, a founder, or a multi-passionate entrepreneur and not only understand the heart of what they are building I can see its full potential before it even exists. I am not just a lawyer or consultant; I am a visionary partner who helps my clients align their operations with their purpose, and their business model with their mission.I see the full picture and I guide my clients to solutions that align with both their short-term goals and the legacy they are called to leave behind.
What are your upcoming major events?
I am excited to be speaking at some incredible events this year, including Pulse & Practice, Women in Leadership, and Glambitious offering a powerful platform to connect, uplift, and activate purpose-driven professionals. At Pulse & Practice, I will be diving into the intersection of law and medicine, sharing strategic legal and operational insights with medical providers and practice owners looking to grow sustainably. Women in Leadership is a space for powerhouse women across industries to come together and have honest conversations about growth, visibility, and legacy.
I will be sharing tools to help women align their vision with the systems and structure they need to lead boldly and unapologetically. At Glambitious, which always champions multi-passionate women entrepreneurs, I will be speaking on protecting your business while scaling your impact because it is not just about building something beautiful, it is about making sure it lasts. These events give me the opportunity to pour into entrepreneurs and leaders who are shifting culture, building wealth, and leading with purpose and I am honored to be a part of each one.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Do not wait for a crisis to protect your business by the time problems arise, the damage can be costly. Smart entrepreneurs know that a strong legal and operational foundation is key to long-term success. It is not just about launching, it is about sustaining and scaling with confidence. When your systems are aligned and your protections are in place, you can grow without constantly looking over your shoulder. Alignment, structure, and strategy are not luxuries they are the framework that supports real impact. Protect the vision you are building by investing in the backend of your business now, not later.
