How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Laken Alyssa, a photographer based in Atlanta, Georgia. I grew up in a small town in Arkansas, surrounded by nature, and I’m now exploring different creative avenues while planting roots in the city.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I’ve struggled with processing death and loss, particularly losing loved ones. It’s taught me to love harder while we’re here. I’ve also navigated financial challenges at a young age, being on my own with limited guidance.
What do people usually not know about you?
I lived in the jungle for four years, traveling around Central America and experiencing the pura vida lifestyle in Costa Rica. It was a humbling and magical experience that shaped my perspective.
What sets you apart from others?
My intuition is my superpower. I’m deeply connected to the world around me, and I can sense when something is right or wrong. I believe the universe has always conspired in my favor, and I share a deep sense of knowing with my mother.
What are your upcoming major events?
I’m focused on evolving with my photography, building my portfolio, and collaborating with artists, brands, and local events. I’m excited to see where my creativity takes me.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Don’t let anyone control your narrative. Remember that struggles are just chapters, and good times go by fast, so be present. Always travel, explore, and believe in yourself – you can do anything you set your mind to.
