Share your background.
I was raised with immense love and affection by my parents, who constantly praised me as I grew up. I come from a line of Christians in Japan dating back three generations. My grandfather and great-grandfather had studied in Europe and were involved in trade. Four of my great-grandfathers worked in the field of education and international trading. Taking forward their legacy, I’m engaged in education “Ho-Me-I-Ku” (translated as Praise and Raise) as the founder and spreading it, traveling the world.
Childhood to Adulthood – How was your transition from childhood to adulthood and what are the bad and good things you remember?
During elementary school, I exhibited leadership qualities. However, upon entering junior high school, I became introverted due to bullying. I regained my confidence during high school and college, joining the karate club and volunteering as a leader at the YMCA. I met some incredible educators and am now working in the field of education.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I transitioned from a renowned consulting firm, Funai Consulting Incorporated, to working in a live-in ramen shop, starting as a dishwasher and then as a store manager. After gaining solid experience for four years, I became a consultant and educator who can empathize with ground-level staff.
What do people usually not know about you?
I enjoy potato chips and wine late at night.
What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?
I actively promote the message “We were born to praise each other” to the world, living a life dependent on the mission and practicing it.
What are your upcoming major events – Unforgettable Moments or products/services that you want to promote/inform?
My future vital events include a seminar in New York in March 2024 and a speech to UN officials in September 2024, scheduled for the second consecutive year. I’d also like many people to watch my TEDx speeches:
What are your food preferences and physical attributes?
I enjoy steak and red wine. I have an average build. I love sports, but I equally love food and drink.
Your love life, relationships and family?
I married my junior high school classmate, and we have two daughters. My sister married a Norwegian and lives near Oslo. My father passed away suddenly five years ago, but my mother is doing well.
What expert advice would you like to give?
I have a vision of a world where praise becomes the language we all speak, and the act of praising one another is not just a choice but a way of life. Praise is a universal need that transcends any boundaries – country, gender, race, gender, etc. Join me in this remarkable journey to create a world where praise is the norm and where we truly understand that “People are born to be praised, and we exist to praise each other.”
