Introduction

I’m Keisha Jackson better aka Keke im a passionate esthetician, entrepreneur, and founder of Opulence Wellness & MedSpa. I’ve been in the beauty and wellness industry for over two decades, starting as a makeup artist in 2001 and becoming a licensed esthetician in 2015. Opulence is my way of celebrating diversity in beauty and wellness, creating a space where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered.

Personal Journey

I was born in Bedford-Stuyves, Brooklyn, raised in Queens both places rich in culture but also filled with its share of challenges. As a child, I was diagnosed with vitiligo, which brought a unique set of experiences. While others saw my condition as a difference, I learned to see it as a beauty mark, thanks to my mother’s affirmations. These early experiences shaped my passion for beauty and representation. As an adult, I’ve navigated life as a single mother, a business owner, and someone constantly striving for growth. Founding Opulence Wellness & MedSpa in 2020 was a milestone—a testament to resilience, faith, and the pursuit of my dreams.

Overcoming Challenges

One of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was dealing with insecurities stemming from my vitiligo and the reactions of others. As a child, people would stare or point, which was painful, but it taught me the importance of self-acceptance. Professionally, starting a business as a Black woman in the esthetics field came with its hurdles—financial constraints, finding skilled talent, and building clientele—but I overcame these challenges through persistence, prayer, and leaning on my community for support.

Hidden Talents

Many people don’t know that I’m an excellent multitasker. As a basketball mom, entrepreneur, and someone always on the move, I’ve mastered juggling multiple roles with grace. Another hidden talent is my knack for storytelling—I’m currently working on writing a book about my life.

We’re thrilled to announce several exciting events and launches! On February 8, we’re collaborating with Cole Press Gwinnett for the “Juice Your Way Into Glowing Skin” event. This will focus on skin health and wellness, encouraging clients to nourish their beauty from the inside out.

Additionally, we’re hosting a romantic Valentine’s Day retreat in the mountains for couples. This exclusive event includes a luxurious four-course meal, live saxophone music, and hands-on workshops teaching couples how to give each other facials and massages—an intimate way to connect and relax.

We’re also introducing a revolutionary laser treatment called Aerolase. To celebrate, we’ll be hosting a promotional event to showcase its incredible benefits and unveil special packages for both new and existing clients. Stay tuned for more details!

Personal Preferences

I love acai bowls—they’re my go-to snack or meal when I’m on the move. Physically, I stand at 5’6”, with brown hair and a striking confidence that comes from years of embracing my uniqueness.

Love Life and Relationships

I’m a proud mother of three—my oldest is my beautiful daughter, and I have two amazing sons who keep me on my toes. They inspire me every day to be my best self and are the reason I strive to create a legacy of love, strength, and success. As for relationships, I value authenticity and mutual growth—qualities that are just as important in personal relationships as they are in business.

Expert Advice

My advice to anyone pursuing their dreams is simple: Trust the process. Success is a mindset, and as long as you’re breathing, you have the power to make a difference. Learn from your mistakes, remain consistent, and don’t let fear hold you back. Remember, beauty starts from within—when you feel good on the inside, it radiates outward.
