Kasey iliana sfetsios As Cover Story Interview – December 2025 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

I’m Kasey Iliana Sfetsios an Actress and Content Creator who recreates characters, using SFX  makeup, as well as props and costumes that I design and build myself. I’m very intentional with the characters I choose, because I believe that when you embody a character, you connect with that energy on a subconscious level.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

I’ve faced many hardships – but what’s important is that I’ve learned strength, discernment, ingenuity and adaptability through them. I’ve also learned that romanticizing hardships or even strengths, can keep you stuck in old hardwired beliefs & patterns. Acknowledging hardships without glorifying them  has become part of my growth.

What do people usually not know about you?

I’m a private person, especially with things I’m protective over and some of those things are my solitude, energy and creative process. I’m energised when I’m alone and fulfilled when I’m being creative but perhaps I just haven’t met the right people yet.

What sets you apart from others?

When something feels impossible, my optimism, still searches for a solution and I don’t cling to a single outcome. I can get very excited about an idea, only to feel a wave of self-criticism, if it doesn’t materialize, but that feeling doesn’t last long, I let it move through me then try something new.  I know I’m driven by an obsession with self-actualisation, that comes from a place of programmed self-judgement, but I’ve turned it into personal sort of alchemy that’s  pushing me forward. In the same way, I’ve been driven by rejection, and I’ve only recently come to realise that on the other end of the spectrum are acceptance, enouragement, self trust  and  inner knowing – and these are what guide me now.

What are your upcoming major events?

I don’t usually like to speak about things before they’re fully realized, but I’m excited to share a new type of content I’ve been working on.  It explores topics I’ve been passionate about for a long time- subjects I’ve wanted to see represented-so I wanted to make sure I understood them deeply before putting anything into the world. There’s something satisfying about knowing you can create any kind of content you choose and that at any moment it might take off, or maybe a small handful of people will discover it and find comfort and joy in it and that’s heartwarming.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Create your own opportunities and allow yourself to be a bit of a Polymath, because social media and streaming platforms have disrupted Hollywood and other hierarchical, traditional forms of gatekeeping, along with the industry’s reliance on middlemen. Most actors and industry professionals are concerned about this shift,  but as someone who never expected to be “let in” I see extraordinary possibilities. I even think on some collective level we manifested this moment. People want genuine interaction and Talent agents are turning to us for opportunities and  I’ve garnered most  film Acting work, as well as interest, from my own content.

Reconsider before you share your work with friends or family, analytics may prove that this does more harm than good. Persistence and enjoying what you do are key and what may seem like a waste, may turn out to be an important piece of the puzzle. A few years ago I started a Youtube channel, without really knowing where it was going. It grew quickly, gaining  hundreds of  thousands of views, likes and encouraging comments asking for more, but even with all that momentum the content didn’t feel true to me and it was a lot of work, so I decided to take a break. Still, those interactions with subscribers taught me invaluable lessons. This has been an essential part of the puzzle, helping shape the content I’m creating now.
