Karisa Haverkamp As Cover Story Interview – February 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Karisa, I am 35. I am a Psychotherapist, Entrepreneur, Mom of four, Actor, Singer and Model. Additional things I love: nature, new adventures, running, weight lifting, a good book, photography and I write poems.
I am a creative with a deep passion for humanity. I really like to promote wellness and empowerment for all. I am an intellectual, like to think deeply and outside the preverbal box. I believe in Christ and do all things in and through and for Him. I have lots of passion and work endlessly to achieve my goals and pour into my kids and clients.
What hardships did you go through in your life?
Hardships are what have shaped me into the strong, determined, compassionate woman that I am today. Only when we struggle are we capable of softness and strength simultaneously!! I have an ongoing struggle with chronic depression, currently single parenting 4 kids and have a history of sexual trauma. But there is infinite hope.
Keep fighting and never give up you are not alone.
What’s something people usually don’t know about you?
I used to play the flute competitively. I won the RCM grade 10 provincial competition!! I was homeschooled all the way through until University.
What sets you apart from others?
I believe that each person is unique and has their own light to shine in this world I am just shining mine. I have a passion for learning and thinking outside of what is presented to me. I also love others and truly long to empower everyone. Life is not a competition it is a chance to encourage and support each other.
What’s are your upcoming major events, projects, or releases?
Currently working towards more magazine publications, Swimsuit USA Toronto, getting more commercials and my first film roles (that are not background) are my next dreams to be realized.
What would be your expert advice?
Those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. Live with integrity and pursue your dreams. Don’t give mental space to what others might think. Seize the opportunity of the moment.
