How do you introduce yourself?
Hello, my name is Kandi King.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I’m the resilient woman who rose above the bullying and trauma I endured at school and the abuse at home. I remember the pain of being belittled, but I’ve transformed that experience into fuel for my determination. Despite being told I wasn’t loved or worthy, I’ve proven myself to be strong, capable, and deserving of love and respect. I’m proud to have broken free from the shackles of my past, graduating college twice, building a successful modeling career, becoming a nurse, overcoming the challenges of type 1 diabetes, by getting a pancreas transplant. I’ve created a loving family, fostered numerous children, and been blessed with a beautiful granddaughter. Through it all, I’ve learned to trust myself, my abilities, and the goodness of others. I’m a testament to the human spirit’s capacity for growth, healing, and triumph. Overall, I have learned to forgive although I may never forget.
What do people usually not know about you?/Q4 What sets you apart from others?
I am 57 years old I am an Ambassador Model, Nurse & Humanitarian; helping others with their struggles in life. Assisting in food distribution to homeless & needy families.
What are your upcoming major events?
Two day photo shoot next week, Trunk or treat, assisting nursing home residents distribute candy to children. Distribution of food for Thanksgiving & Christmas.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Embrace life; you only live once. The things that happen to you are supposed to happen (whether good or bad). Life is a puzzle and you need every piece to complete it. People are put in your life for a reason. To help each other on our journey through life. When we complete the puzzle; we are blessed with eternal life in heaven.
