Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Film scoring is an extremely competitive profession, it has been a steep hill to achieve whatever is that I have achieved to date. It would be an honest answer to say that I am extremely hard working.

What do people usually not know about you?

Perhaps that I never stop learning music, I always study, practice and try to explore new avenues in music harmonization in particular.

What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?

This is an extremely competitive profession, and I am not sure if I do something to set me apart, other than hard work, dedication to the craft of film scoring, trying to be a decent human being, respect my collaborators and peers and do the absolute very best that I can do.

What are your upcoming major events?

Working for Gary Kurtz (Star Wars Episodes IV & V) was a real highlight and slightly surreal to me. I have had many great moment I can look back, The Great Alaskan Race is one of my most enjoyable collaborations, and recording with The City of Prague Philharmonic, is also a real highlight in my life. I am happy to say that I am attached to score the music for the film ‘Fate’ (Harvey Keitel, Andrew McCarthy & Faye Dunaway) and I have just finished scoring the music for the film ‘Mr Wonderful’ (Michael Madsen) that I hope to release as an album in the near future.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Hard work, be down to Earth, be humble, learn on a constant basis and be sure to understand the realistic side of life.
