How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Jill Palestina, owner of VIBE Salon in Mount Laurel, NJ. I’m a master hairstylist and colorist. I’m a mentor, educator, bridal beauty specialist, wife, mom of two, and someone who leads with love, passion, and a lot of hustle.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I’ve faced my share of challenges. I experienced the loss of close family and friends at a young age, which forced me to grow emotionally strong early in life. I’ve been a hard worker since the age of 14, usually working 2 jobs at once. Facing family hardships at a young age has also made me the strong woman I am today. Building a business from the ground up during uncertain times is definitely one of the hardest things I’ve done. But I’ve always believed in showing up, working hard, and letting my actions speak for themselves.
What do people usually not know about you?
A lot of my qualities speak for themselves through my work and my actions. Most people don’t know how deeply sensitive I am. I’m strong and driven, but I feel everything. I wear my heart on my sleeve and that’s part of what fuels the care I pour into my family, my clients, and my team.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my heart. I’m hands-on with my business, passionate about education, and obsessed with creating experiences that make people feel seen, beautiful, and inspired.
What are your upcoming major events?
We’re hosting our 4th annual VIBE Winter Benefit for Wigs for Kids on March 7, 2025, and we’re headlining a Bridal Showcase on September 25, 2025 at the Cherry Hill Mall, where we’ll be doing live bridal trials and a fashion show.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Start messy, stay consistent, and lead with love. Whether you’re behind the chair or running a business — growth comes from showing up every day with passion and purpose. Even when life throws you a curveball just keep pushing through perseverance and hard work is key, TRUST THE PROCESS, and never give up!
