Jetty Nieuwenhuis As Cover Story Interview – August 2025 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

I’m Jetty Nieuwenhuis — a speaker, model, and founder of Ageless in Canada. At 53, I’m living proof that you can rewrite the rules at any age. My work empowers women to reclaim their voice, radiance, and truth — especially after decades of playing small. I’m also a former Ironman athlete, a mom of two boys, married 28 years, a farm owner, and I also live part-time in the beautiful Canadian Rockies. I moved to Canada from the Netherlands 23 years ago. I am a wild soul who believes in beauty, rebellion, and reinvention.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

I’ve overcome a lot — a long battle with bulimia in my 20s and 30s, and later, chronic Lyme disease. I also had to break free from generational trauma, toxic relationships, and a lifetime of societal conditioning around aging, success, and worth. Those struggles cracked me open. They were the fire that forged the woman I am today.

What do people usually not know about you?

Most people don’t know how deep my healing journey has been. Or that I used to be terrified to speak publicly (still am a bit) — now I’m stepping onto stages across North America to tell my story. I also have a tattoo from completing two Ironmans.

What sets you apart from others?

I don’t just preach empowerment — I live it. I broke every rule I was taught about aging, motherhood, and womanhood. I show up fully — in my voice, my body, and my unapologetic truth. I blend personal storytelling, spiritual insight, and rebellious beauty in everything I do. And I help women realize: it’s never too late to rise.

What are your upcoming major events?

I’m speaking at two major live events this September — Fearless Women Summit in Calgary, and Ageless in Seattle with an audience of 200+. I’m also launching my new self-led course, She Who Rises — a ritual journey for women ready to reclaim their light. And this October, I’ll host the first Ageless in Canada event in Vancouver — with more cities to follow.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Stop waiting for permission. Your voice, your story, and your truth matter — especially if they shake the room. Trust your timing, but don’t let fear write your future. You are not too old, too late, or too much. You are becoming. Own it. Enjoy it.
