Happy Gill (Model, Model Coach, and Choreographer) was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and here is the Q&A session we had with Mr. Gill.
Happy Gill As Cover Story Interview – February 2026 Magazine Edition
Introduction
I am a model, model coach, and choreographer with over 25 years of experience on fashion runways across India and Canada. Fashion has always been more than a profession for me and has been a voice, a passion, and a constant source of strength.
I believe that “dreams don’t have an age limit, and passion doesn’t retire.” Alongside my journey in fashion, I am also a sales professional and currently ranked number one in furniture sales in Ontario, proving that creativity and discipline can walk side by side.
Life has taught me that “success is not about where you start, but how strongly you rise after every fall.” Every runway I step on today carries not just style, but years of experience, resilience, and belief.
What hardships have you gone through in life?
Ten years ago, I moved to Canada from India and had to start my life from zero. Everything was new, and rebuilding came with responsibility, pressure, and uncertainty. Many days felt heavy, and nothing came easy.
Just when I thought life was settling, I was diagnosed with cancer. Hearing that word changed everything. Treatment was painful, recovery was slow, and there were moments when I questioned myself. But deep inside, I never gave up. I held on to my dreams, my passion, and my belief, reminding myself that this phase would not be my end.
After my treatment, I restarted my life with courage, gratitude, and a stronger heart. The hardships shaped me, but they did not break me.
What do people usually not know about you?
Most people see only one side of me, but my journey has many layers. I am a national-level rowing player, a long-haul truck driver, and a leading retail sales professional—three very different worlds that shaped who I am today.
These experiences taught me discipline, patience, and resilience. I’m comfortable with long journeys, hard work, and starting over, because growth has always come from places people don’t expect.
What sets you apart from others?
What truly sets me apart is the impact I have on people around me. Across the Toronto fashion industry and within the social media modeling community, many models share that I help boost their confidence, bring positivity, and motivate them to believe in themselves.
I focus on encouraging growth, self-belief, and authenticity. Seeing others rise with confidence and clarity is the most meaningful part of my journey.
Upcoming Events
I am preparing for upcoming runway events, including Fashion Art Toronto and several major fashion events across Toronto. The journey continues, and I am excited for what lies ahead.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Believe in yourself, especially when life tests you the most. Don’t let age, fear, or setbacks stop you from following your passion. Stay disciplined, stay consistent, and trust your journey. Carry kindness and confidence wherever you go.
Create your own identity instead of chasing trends. When you manifest your dreams, support them with action.
This mindset works not only in fashion, but in life—anywhere in the world.
