Giuseppe Iaciofano (Creative Director And The Founder of Poet-Lab) was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with Giuseppe.
Giuseppe Iaciofano As Cover Story Interview – January 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Giuseppe Iaciofano. I’m a creative director and the founder of Poet-Lab, but those titles came later. For a long time, I was just someone trying to survive my own body and my own thoughts. Italian living In London. Fashion and poetry didn’t arrive as ambition they arrived as necessity. Creating was how I stayed alive, how I remembered who I was when everything else was taken away.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I survived cancer. And survival doesn’t look heroic it’s quiet, terrifying, and lonely. It’s hospitals, waiting rooms, fear you don’t know how to name, and a body that stops feeling like home. After cancer, nothing fit anymore not the life I had, not the dreams I thought I wanted, not the person I used to be. I had to rebuild everything from zero. My confidence, my finances, my identity, my relationship with my body. There were moments where the future felt too heavy to imagine. Creating became the only place where I could breathe.
What do people usually not know about you?
People don’t know how close I came to giving up on myself. They don’t know how many nights I questioned my worth, my talent, my right to take up space. Poet-Lab was born from that darkness from writing things I couldn’t say out loud, from dressing emotions instead of bodies. What people see now is the result of choosing to stay, even when leaving felt easier.
What sets you apart from others?
I create from scars, not ego. I don’t romanticize struggle, but I don’t hide it either. When you’ve faced death, you stop caring about approval and start caring about truth and looking forward for the next chapter to build up. My work carries weight because it has lived through something real. Fashion, to me, is not surface it’s memory, protection, rebellion, and healing stitched together.
What are your upcoming major events?
PoetLab is becoming a living, breathing space not just a brand. Upcoming projects include intimate live readings, fashion-led performances, and immersive experiences where vulnerability is welcomed, not staged. These are not events for spectacle. They’re spaces where people are allowed to feel again. Fashion week is the time when everyone is there to join and enjoy who I am what I can give to them.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Stop waiting to be chosen. Stop shrinking to survive rooms that were never meant for you. If your body, your mind, or your life has broken and rebuilt itself, don’t hide that use it. Create like time matters, because it does. You don’t need to be fearless. You just need to be honest.
