How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Giselle Niemand, and I’m a South African pop artist shaping my path in the music world. Singing and storytelling have always been my favourite forms of expression, and I’m dedicated to growing into an artist who represents South African talent on major global stages.
Childhood to Adulthood Transition?
I’ve been performing since I was very young. What started as singing around the house and acting out scenes for fun eventually grew into real training, rehearsals and early responsibilities. Moving into young adulthood taught me discipline and focus, but I also try to hold onto the excitement and passion that motivated me as a child.
What Makes You Unique?
My uniqueness comes from the way I express emotion through my music. I don’t hide what I feel — I pour it into my voice and my writing. My background in singing, acting, dancing and modelling helps me approach performance with depth and versatility, giving my artistry a blend that feels natural and expressive.
What People Usually Don’t Know About You?
Although I appear confident on stage, I’m actually quite introverted. I enjoy quiet time, journaling and reflecting. I’m sensitive and thoughtful, and that side of me influences how I create and how I connect with listeners.
What Sets You Apart from the Rest?
I don’t try to follow trends or imitate other artists. I care about honesty and real storytelling. My goal is to make people feel seen and understood. The ability to convey emotion at my age gives my music authenticity, and I think that’s what helps me stand out.
What are your upcoming major events?
I’m working on new music, creative collaborations and performances that will take place both locally and internationally. There are media tours and projects coming up that will show more of my growth and artistic direction.
Your Love Life and Family?
Right now, my focus is on my career. My true support system is my family, especially my mom Pamela Niemand and my dad Jonathan Niemand. My mom is my biggest champion — always present, always lifting me up and guiding me. My dad brings calmness and steady encouragement. Their support gives me the confidence to keep pushing forward.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Stay true to who you are. Work hard, stay grounded and protect your mental and emotional well-being. Talent may open the door, but your character is what keeps you in the room.
