Georgie Ray As Cover Story Interview – March 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

My name is Georgie Ray and I’m an actor, writer and producer based in Kent with a passion for horror, the absurd and everything wonderfully weird. Since graduating from St Mary’s University with a BA (Hons) in Acting 2024, I have built a dynamic portfolio across fringe theatre, short films and feature film work. I wrote, produced and starred in a dark comedy Ostrich and the short horror film Method, further cementing my love for bold storytelling. I have always been drawn to the creative arts and it all started with attending my local drama club as a little girl. It truly hit me studying performing arts at Canterbury college that acting had to be in my life no matter what shape or form. My love for writing sparked when I won first place at the KFE for Skills Competition 2020, where I Performed a self written horror monologue, with a lot of fake blood and toy cat… that’s all I’ll say!

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Life has a way of throwing us between the highs and the lows, and my younger years were definitely a time when I felt lost and uncertain. I didn’t know who I was, and that uncertainty pulled me toward the wrong crowds and choices that didn’t serve me. But those experiences shaped the woman I am today.
They gave me depth and a well of emotion I now draw from in my work, allowing me to create characters with real texture and truth. I care deeply about mental wellbeing and the ways we can support one another through trauma especially. If anything, my journey has made me passionate about finding ways we can come together, speak openly, and help ourselves and each other grow stronger.

What do people usually not know about you?

I’m a deeply spiritual person, I love holistic healing, big‑picture thinking, and conversations about the universe that go on for hours. I’m a total horror lover, my all time favourite being ‘Hereditary’. A dream role would definitely be Maxine in the Maxxxine/ Pearl franchise or Cassandra in Promising Young Woman.

As a joyful contradiction, I run the company MegStars Parties, where I bring princesses and classic characters to life for little ones and events. It’s pure magic and genuinely one of the most rewarding parts of my world.

What sets you apart from others?

I care deeply about people, and I’m never afraid to step in if someone looks like they need help or go that extra mile to make someone you care about or a stranger smile. Human beings genuinely fascinate me, I love listening to people talk about their lives, their stories, their quirks. That curiosity and compassion are a huge part of who I am.

What are your upcoming major events?

I’m incredibly grateful to have worked on several short films and a couple of indie features that are all releasing this year. I’ve just begun filming the upcoming horror feature The R.I.P Man 2, where I play the female lead, Trudy, a character I absolutely adore and a real dream role for me. My first feature, The Angel Jonnie Moon, will also be out on Prime Video this year, where I play the title character. I’ve recently wrapped Ostrich, a dark comedy I wrote, produced, and starred in, about a girl who metaphorically sheds her past and gets her life together. I can’t wait to share this story and take it into the festival circuit.

What expert advice would you like to give?

I’m certainly no expert and very much still growing and learning every day. But the advice I’d offer is to be kind to yourself and to the people around you, we never truly know what someone else might be carrying. Try to limit constant comparison and learn to celebrate other people’s achievements as well as your own. Practising gratitude goes a long way, and staying present can make life feel a little lighter. Also spend time with people who make you feel good, keep loved ones close and check in with your friends. Give back to the community.
