Eloise AKA Elly Critten (Fashion & Lifestyle Content Creator) was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and here is the Q&A session we had with Elly.
Eloise Critten As Cover Story Interview – January 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
I introduce myself as Elly, that’s my preferred name. My birth name is Eloise.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I had a very difficult upbringing, my closest family members were psychologically and emotionally abusive. I had problems in secondary school too, rumours that weren’t true + faced a lot of betrayal from those who I thought were close whether that be a partner, friend or family member. I now suffer with my mental health, I have inattentive attention deficit disorder and anxiety. I used to have body dysmorphic disorder, the criticisms I faced growing up lead me to becoming extremely self concious about my appearance. I didn’t leave the house unless I looked perfect at one point, even wearing high heels just to go to the corner shop. I am glad I have become more secure, I am still self critical but not to the extent I used to be.
What do people usually not know about you?
People don’t know about my upbringing, reason being is I don’t like to tell anyone as there’s so much stigma attached to having detached immediate family members. If you have had a troubled upbringing, then you must be trouble or incapable of love is the assumption, but that couldn’t be further from the truth.
Another thing people online don’t know about me, is that I am not confident. Online the way I pose and walk makes me appear confident, but I am awkward as hell! A bag of nerves!!
What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?
I am honest and genuine, I don’t pretend to be someone I am not just because that’s working for other people. I don’t act a certain type of way for any kind of gain, I am completely authentic and I want my audience to be able to trust the things I say.
What are your upcoming events?
I will be attending events through the agency I am under, they’re not planned massively in advance they will come up throughout the year and I’ll attend the ones I really want to go to.
What expert advice would you like to give?
My advice to those wanting to follow a similar path, is to stay true to who you are and don’t pretend to be someone you’re not. People have a bad habit of comparing themselves, and if someone is really successful at something people try to mimic what they do. It doesn’t work! The only way to make it work, is to bring something different + the only way you can bring something different is by simply being yourself. There is no other you. I find honesty, authenticity & being your genuine self will take you further in life.
