Brianna Oppenheimer (Actor and Producer) was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and here is the Q&A session we had with Brianna.

How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Brianna Oppenheimer. I’m an actor and producer, and I was actually featured in multiple news sources as the ‘real-life Barbenheimer,’ because my last name and my love of all things pink kind of collided with that cultural moment when Barbie and Oppenheimer were released. I started performing at a young age in ballet and theater, and storytelling has always been a big part of my life. My family history also shaped me a lot for example my grandfather escaped Nazi Germany before World War II. So the name Oppenheimer carries a lot of meaning for me. All of that has influenced the way I approach creative work today.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I was homeschooled until I was 11 by my mother. When I was 11, my mother committed suicide while I was away visiting my father. During my teen years, I lived with multiple families one after the other. Later on during my first year of college my sister, Elyse Oppenheimer, also took her life. The artist life is difficult on its own but these personal hardships definitely shaped who I am today.
What do people usually not know about you?
A lot of people don’t realize that before focusing on acting and producing, I worked in finance and also as a legal assistant. Those experiences gave me a strong understanding of how business and deals work, which has actually helped me navigate the entertainment industry in a much more strategic way.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is the combination of my creative training and my broader life experience. I started performing at a young age in ballet and musical theater, which gave me a strong sense of physicality and expression when approaching a role. I later studied psychology, which influences how I build characters because I’m always interested in what motivates people emotionally and psychologically. I’ve also trained in both dramatic acting and improv comedy, so I enjoy moving between grounded dramatic roles and more spontaneous, comedic work.
Outside of acting, I’ve also worked in finance and as a legal assistant, which gave me insight into the business side of industries and how deals work. I’m also a dual citizen of the USA and Germany, which gives me a more global perspective and allows me to work internationally. My family history has also shaped me like how my grandfather escaped Nazi Germany before World War II. This has always reminded me to pursue meaningful opportunities and make the most of them.
What are your upcoming major events ?
I have a lot of exciting momentum right now! My primary focus is heading to South by Southwest to promote howtoselftape.com, a resource dedicated to helping actors master the art of the self-tape and filmmakergenius.com, a website to help filmmakers through the filmmaking process. We’re also expanding our reach through our podcast, Between Takes, where we dive into the inner workings of the entertainment industry with guest experts.
On the film front, I recently wrapped a horror short and am thrilled that my film, Guillotine, is now available on Amazon. Meanwhile, my other project, 20 Lbs to Happiness, is currently mid-run on the festival circuit.
What expert advice would you like to give?
My advice to anyone for any industry is try new things and meet as many people as you can. There is no one destination in life. We are on a journey. Stay close to people who inspire you and follow your bliss. Get rid of anyone or thing that brings you down. Life is too short to get dragged down by that negativity. You are the master of your destiny. Make your life the most magical joyful journey imaginable.
