Billie Vee (Actor And Screenwriter) was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with Billie.
Billie Vee As Cover Story Interview – December 2025 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
I’m an actor and a screenwriter – and a self-made one. I was born in Athens as Vasiliki Vlachou, and when I moved to London I adopted the stage name Billie Vee, which eventually became part of my identity. As an actor, I flourish when I step into another reality – when I become someone else and live an entirely different life. As a screenwriter, my aim is to entertain, surprise, and sometimes shock the audience – to make them think and feel, and to offer them a temporary escape from their own reality into another world.
Struggle – what hardships have you gone through in life?
“Where there is no struggle, there is no strength,” as Oprah says — and I truly believe that. In London, there were nights I had to sleep on a bench because there were no night buses and I couldn’t afford a cab. Nothing was ever given to me easily. I worked every kind of job you can imagine to survive — years of waiting tables, working in bars, standing for endless hours in heels at events. I handed out newspapers at 6 a.m. outside Waterloo Station, went straight to my receptionist job, and then worked in a bar until the early hours again. All of that gave me something priceless: life experience, resilience, and endless material for my craft.
What do people usually not know about you?
I like to keep an air of mystery — but I’ll let go just this once. Most people don’t know that I can bark extremely realistically! I’m an only child, and growing up I often felt lonely, so I started imitating animal sounds and somehow became very good at barking. I’m also a huge animal lover and occasionally donate to animal rescue organisations.
What sets you apart from others?
My drive, my work ethic, and my determination. A Greek girl dreaming of making a feature film abroad and starring in it would have remained just a dream without extreme determination. Sparrow’s Call (directed by Tim Kent) is my first feature film as a writer — and I also star in it. It took nearly ten years to be made. I made it happen against all odds.
What are your upcoming major events?
I’m currently developing a Greek–British TV series, while also rehearsing for a play I’ve written, which will be staged in Athens.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Have faith in yourself and in life. Do the work. Never stop evolving and learning new skills. Learn to adapt and be flexible. Surround yourself with people who lift you up and inspire you. Take the risk – after you’ve done the work. And then, let go.
