Benanthony laVoz was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with him.

How do you introduce yourself?

I am a 3-time Latin Grammy Canada Winner & Hollywood Music Award Winner BenAnthony Lavoz.

How was your transition from childhood to adulthood?

I think the transition to adulthood happened when I realized that I couldn’t rely on other to realize my dreams. Out of the hundreds if not thousands of people that I have worked with only a select handful have stayed true loyal and follow through with their word. I remember investing in so many empty promises, but the love, passion and dedication that I put in every single project allowed me to see it through and shine like for the public to enjoy.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

The biggest hardship I have faced in my career is getting Canadian Latin Music recognized by the major outlets in Canada. They have no problem (as we all know) playing and supporting the Latin artist from abroad, however leave us “local” artist to hang dry; we see this in the Junos not even having a Canadian Latin Music category even though it is the #1 selling music genre in the world.

What do people usually not know about you?

What people usually tend to not know about me is that I disappear from the public eye when I indulge in the creative component of composing a song, I will only allow delegated musicians to take part in this somewhat ritualist event where I transmit my music.

What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?

Welll, I don’t see others at competition, at this point in time we need the Hispanic community to come together as a whole; in order for us to succeed in representing our culture and art. What I can say is that I have been hustling in this industry for over 10+ years without a break, it’s a vision I’ve had since a child, Canadian Latin Music will make it on the International Stage, I promise you this; even if it kills me.

What are your upcoming major events?

2023 has been a non-stop world tour, so starting 2024 I will be spending the first quarter on creating music for the new year, it’s an extremely exciting time, stay tuned. From there 2024 promises more stops in Latin America where we will be moving the show to stadiums with live band.

What are your food preferences and physical attributes?

You have to try PUPUSAS from El Salvador, it my favorite food it like a grilled stuffed tortilla with bean cheese and chicharron (pork).

Your love life, relationships and family?

Doing this full-time does not allow for me to be in a romantic relationship, as I am constantly on the move and the pressures of keeping the business flowing has becoming my marriage. My family supports me 100% as they have seen the growth and abundance.

What expert advice would you like to give?

MY only advise I would give to all is: realize your talent (art) and love what you do. Never give up and keep your words and promises. Don’t spread yourself thin doing too much, do one thing right then maybe expand if you wish
