How do you introduce yourself?
I introduce myself as Angelica. I don’t like to discuss my achievements or work life when meeting people. I prefer for people to meet ME and not a preconceived idea about who I am. I also prefer to keep an air of mystery. The thrill of knowing me is discovering me.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
As a child immigrant from Ukraine, I was responsible for most communication to the outside world for my family. I had to develop strong public speaking and advocacy skills. Since then, I’ve had many hardships I have overcome but the development of my skills all stem from my childhood.
What do people usually not know about you?
I’m quite involved in politics. Most people don’t know that about me. I have been awarded several awards including the King Charles III Coronation Medal.
What sets you apart from others?
I often get comments about my style. I was raised to always look put together. It’s cultural. But what I get told most often is people never forget my smile. I would hope what sets me apart is my kindness.
What are your upcoming major events ?

What expert advice would you like to give?
I wouldn’t say I am expert, but the couple pieces of advice I would give is live your life today, time is precious and fleeting. Don’t waste it. Also remember to be kind to yourself. Loving yourself allows you to love others. Other people will remember you for who you are not what you had.
