Amy Everett As Cover Story – October 2023 Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

My name is Amy Everett, and I am a wife, a mother of 4; two lovely girls, one beautiful bonus son and another distant bonus son a loving daughter, sister, friend, and entrepreneur. I am a professional who leverages my experience as an IT Program Manager, Project Manager, SR Business Analyst, Senior Business System Analyst, and interpersonal skills to produce successful programs and projects.

Childhood to Adulthood – How was your transition from childhood to adulthood and what are the bad and good things you remember?

My transition from childhood has been one to remember. As a child I remember growing up with little but feeling like I had everything. Family was consistent, neighbors cared, and the community was our village. I remember it being instilled in me that the sky was the limit, and I could be and do anything I put my mind to. There was so much love and positivity. To now being a mother who works hard to give her family all that she didn’t have and wondering if I missed the mark. One of the bad things I can say I remember is even with all the love still feeling like there was something missing. Like there was more I was meant to be and do. I still feel that way however I believe that with God and putting in the work that it is not too late. It’s never too late to reinvent yourself, to find your purpose and to be more than you dreamed you can be.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

One of the hardest things I have gone through in my life was losing my dad. It was a time to mourn only I couldn’t find the tears to cry. My heart ached but I only remember feeling like I had to be strong. My dad wasn’t a perfect man, but he loved me and his family. I have a void with him not being here as I know he would be proud of what we have become and are becoming.

What do people usually not know about you?

People usually don’t know that I am about the simple pleasures in life. I dance to my own beat and am authentically and unapologetically me is that I love my family.

What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?

What sets me apart from the competition is that there is nothing too big or too small for me. I see opportunities to learn/advance in everything I do. I am always willing to help and always doing my best at what I am currently doing and looking for ways to improve and advance. My goal is not only to make money but to leave a lasting impact.

What are your upcoming major events?

The one most important event I am looking forward to is a trip to Aspen, Colorado. It is not just  my love for the cold nor the attractiveness of resort but the signification that I am learning to live a whole life.

What are your food preferences and physical attributes?

I like seafood and pasta. I am a very attractive beautiful inside and out curvy woman with pecan tan skin, full lips and hips.

Your love life, relationships and family?

I have been married for 12 years and presently my family is growing. I am soon to have my first grandchild. There are challenges but I’d rather face them with the man I said ‘I do’ to and the ones God put me in charge of protecting. My family is not as close as we once were, but I am committed to being the person who will always look for ways to bring us closer and believe despite our differences and transgressions we will always love and support one another even when that support looks different. Together we STAND!

What expert advice would you like to give?

Always look for the silver lining in any task you are given, give it your all and remember to always keep advancing. You can rest but never become complacent. With practice and consistency, you can do anything.
