How do you introduce yourself?
I’m Pocahontae Nehemiah, an artist, entertainer and visionary born in Harlem, NYC.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I’ve had many doors slammed in my face and many times where I had to figure things out with no help, but I’m still here creating even when sometimes there are little to no results.
What do people usually not know about you?
How much work I actually put in behind the scenes. I’m funny and outgoing online but I am serious about my craft. I’m always thinking about the next move. Also that I am a graphic artist/illustrator.
What sets you apart from others?
“Competition like a skinny b*tch, I don’t see nobody” – Fabolous. I’m a harlem girl, natural personality and I can rap and write my own music. I don’t have to fake a persona for social media.
What are your upcoming major events?
I have a show tonight actually at Pianos NYC, but I am focused on new music this August, and moving this machine forward, growing my brand. Also I’ve been working on brand deals.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Stop waiting for people to believe in you. Use what you have and do the best you can. Always keep God first!
