Lucy Sparkles As Cover Story Interview – June 2026 Magazine Edition

Lucy Sparkles

Lucy Sparkles is a UK-based author, speaker, podcaster, and transformation advocate whose work focuses on trauma awareness, healing, resilience, and personal growth. Drawing from both her lived experiences and professional background in children’s social care and leadership, she has transformed adversity into a mission of empowering others to reconnect with themselves and embrace their potential. Through her emerging brand, Aligned, Lucy creates honest conversations around healing, confidence, and authenticity, encouraging people to move beyond survival mode and reclaim their voice. Her message is rooted in the belief that our greatest struggles can become the source of our greatest strength and purpose.

How do you introduce yourself?

I’m Lucy Sparkles, an author, speaker, podcaster, and transformation advocate from the UK. While Clifford is my legal surname, “Sparkles” became a name that represented growth, identity, and evolution for me personally.

My work is centred around raising awareness of trauma, healing, resilience, and empowering people to reconnect with themselves and step into their full potential. Alongside my background in children’s social care and leadership, I’m currently building my platform and future brand, Aligned, rooted in transformation, authenticity, and helping people move beyond survival mode.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

My journey has been shaped by trauma, adversity, and having to rebuild myself through some incredibly difficult experiences. Parts of my story include raising awareness around childhood sexual abuse, healing, and the long-term impact trauma can have on identity and self-worth.

For years I viewed those experiences purely as pain. Now, through healing and growth, I’ve realised the resilience, empathy, intuition, and strength I developed through surviving them have become part of my purpose. What once felt like my deepest pain has, in many ways, become my superpower.

What do people usually not know about you?

People often assume confidence comes naturally to me because of my speaking, social media presence, and public work, but confidence was something I had to build over time. What many people don’t see is the amount of healing, reflection, and courage it took to become visible and use my voice.

I’m deeply passionate about creating honest conversations around trauma, healing, emotional resilience, and helping others realise they are not defined by what they’ve been through.

What sets you apart from others?

I believe what sets me apart is authenticity. I don’t believe in pretending life is perfect. I openly share the realities of rebuilding, healing, and growth in a way people genuinely connect with.

My combination of lived experience, professional background in social care, and passion for transformation allows me to connect with people on a much deeper level, whether through speaking, writing, events, or online content.

What are your upcoming major events?

I’m currently focused on continuing to grow my platform, podcast, speaking opportunities, and awareness work around trauma and healing. I’m also developing future wellness and transformation events through my emerging brand, Aligned.

Alongside this, I continue promoting my books, raising awareness through social media and podcast conversations, and building spaces that encourage people to reclaim their voice, confidence, and purpose.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Never underestimate the power of your story. The things you’ve survived may one day become the very thing that helps someone else feel seen.

Healing is not linear, growth is uncomfortable at times, and confidence is built through action — not perfection. Your voice matters, even when fear tells you otherwise.
