Rosa Onious As Cover Story Interview – March 2026 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

My name is Rosa Onious, a female model based in Connecticut USA, however I travel all over the world for my work. I am self represented, and I specialise in commercial modelling such as high fashion, editorial, beauty shoots, fashion, runway high-end designer, adverts (television), and or social media, fitness (athletic), and influencer modelling. I am also a healthy and fitness fanatic.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

The hardships I have faced in life are loss, I lost 2 people in my life who were adjacent to my heart. I lost my sister who was murdered, she was only 29 years old. And a few years later a lost my boyfriend at the time who passed due to cardiac arrest. Loosing someone whom you never got to say goodbye to is profoundly a personal experience that often feels like an unpredictable wave of emotions. This obviously affected my daily life, my work and my routine, it damaged me for a while. But as I healed and learnt to live with the pain I got up and chose to go harder at life, goals and ambitions. Knowing I have angels up above together with God makes me the strongest individual that I am today.

What do people usually not know about you?

What people don’t know about me is that I’m also a singer. A very good one. I started singing at a very young age,I have been in multiple school choirs, and after school I pursued music a little but reality always got in the way. And so far it has been on and off. I still sing but for me right now it is for healing purposes and I also use it to escape from life a little. I am also a very proud naturopathic and homeopathic.

What sets you apart from others?

What sets me apart is the combination of technical adaptability and a strong work ethic. I view modeling as a collaborative craft. I arrive on set with a deep understanding of the brand’s aesthetic and the ability to take direction quickly to capture the right ‘moment.’ Beyond my physical look, my background in the entertainment industry allows me to bring a unique sense of movement and storytelling to every frame, ensuring a productive and high energy shoot from start to finish. I offer more than just a visual presence, I offer authenticity and engagement. My unique value lies in my ability to bridge the gap between high-fashion editorial and relatable brand advocacy. I have a proven track record of maintaining a professional image while genuinely connecting with an audience. I don’t just wear the clothes, I understand how to communicate the lifestyle and values behind brands to ensure the imagery resonates with brand’s target demographic.

What are your upcoming major events?

I have a few fashion shows coming up working with Audrey Apparel in the Garden fashion show event. I’m also working with Alexander Gurman on a few campaigns including the fashion show at Met Gala. The rest I cannot mention yet but stay tuned, big moves are coming.

What expert advice would you like to give?

An expert advice I would like to give to anyone and everyone is that. Go as far as possible. It is never too late to become who you want to be and who you’ve always wanted to be. To reach the horizon of your potential, you must stop reading the script others wrote for you and start holding the pen, true success isn’t just arriving at a destination, it’s the refusal to let anyone else dictate the plot of your life.
