How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Eleonora Puglia, and if I were to introduce myself, I would say that I am first and foremost an artist. I started very young in the world of classical ballet, and later moved into cinema as an actress and then as a director.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I was born in a small town in northern Italy. At 17, I moved away and started working as a dancer. At 18, I relocated to Rome and began my career as an actress. Let’s say I had to learn very quickly how to fend for myself and always stay sharp.
Over the years, I have faced illness and the loss of more than one loved one, and through those experiences I came to understand the true value of life.
What do people usually not know about you?
I often show people only what I want them to see. Almost no one knows my depths… They always see me as strong and very grounded, but in reality I am a very sensitive and attentive person.
What sets you apart from others?
Disrespect. I don’t tolerate it from anyone. Above all, I can’t stand when people think they can insult my intelligence.
What are your upcoming major events?
I have just been in theaters as the lead in the Italian comedy Prendiamoci una Pausa by Christian Marazziti. And my debut film Blue, which I directed, is about to be released.
What expert advice would you like to give?
I always advise young people who decide to approach the world of art to study and prepare themselves, because you have to be ready when the opportunity comes.
