How do you introduce yourself?
I introduce myself as Morpheus (Richards) aka Richard Walters. Very similarly to Childish Gambino/Donald Glover.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Staying the course. It’s very difficult to reach for your dreams and turn them to reality. It’s been a 10 year journey for me and the amount of obstacles. You face can really test your self belief.
What do people usually not know about you?
The I’m a proud nerd. Always have been, always will be! Anime is life for me, I love to learn about things, I used to wear a dress shirt and diamond sweater over top in high school…and I’d still wear that now.
What sets you apart from your competitors in the industry and in life?
What I believe sets me apart is how my hardships, Dedication, and unrealistic belief in myself, has developed me. What I mean by that is, I know I’m destined to be in this industry. I faced hardships that became great life lessons. It fueled my dedication to later develop into an almost delusional/unrealistic belief in myself. That no matter what I will succeed. From what I’ve heard studying the greats that delusion is necessary to reaching the top.
What are your upcoming major events – Unforgettable Moments or products/services that you want to promote/inform?
More music & future performances and an appearance on a major TV Show. In the past 3 months I’ve released 5 songs. I’ve been on a song writing clinic as of late and I’m excited for the listeners around the world to hear my versatility as an artist. My evolution as an artists and what’s to come next. My TV appearance will be this year in a hit show. I’m not allowed to say yet but stay tuned!
What expert advice would you like to give?
Every closed door, every rejection, every disappointment is fuel. Program your brain to receive these things as learning lessons, a time to reflect (not beating yourself up), a time to grow. This industry is full of no’s and your got to be able to use them in way that benefits you.
