Rebeca Rodríguez (Gym Instructor and Fitness Trainer) was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and here is the Q&A session we had with Rebeca.

How do you introduce yourself?

Hi, I’m Rebeca Rodríguez, I’m from A Coruña, and I’m a gym instructor with years of experience teaching group classes like spinning, Zumba, and fitness/toning. I consider myself a fun and approachable person, but also very professional: I pay attention to technique and safety, and I adapt each session to different fitness levels. I also like to stay up-to-date and implement new methodologies to make the classes effective and dynamic.

What hardships did you face in your life?

One of my biggest challenges has been maintaining consistency in a profession with intense hours and high physical demands, without losing quality or motivation. I’ve also experienced changes in the sector, where you have to reinvent yourself and learn continuously. That made me stronger: today I’m very organized, I adapt quickly, and I know how to support people through their processes, even when they come to me demotivated or with little time.

What do people usually not know about you?

Behind every fun class there’s a lot of work: I prepare the structure, the progressions by levels, the type of stimulus (cardio, resistance, toning) and I take great care with the music and the rhythm. I also invest time in training and trying new trends so that my classes don’t always stay the same.

What sets you apart from others?

I think three things set me apart: energy and fun with control (people have a good time, but they’re really training), experience and technique (I correct with respect and make the student understand how to move better) and constant updating (I adapt to new ways of training and methodologies to keep classes modern, safe and effective).

What are your upcoming major events?

My next goals are to integrate into a stable team and contribute value from day one, continue training in current trends (functional, applied strength, intervals, training by sensations, etc.) and help improve adherence: that people don’t just come for a week, but get hooked, progress and repeat.

What would be your expert advice?

I always say: consistency before intensity (better to do 3 sustainable days a week than to go all out and quit), technique first (it gives faster results and avoids injuries) and that adapting is not lowering the level, it is training intelligently so that each person progresses from their point.

Social Media & Links?

Yes, I manage social media professionally and can support the gym with useful and engaging content: privacy-respecting ambiance clips, mini-routines, technique tips, mobility exercises, weekly challenges, and schedule promotions. I like to communicate positively and motivate, but always with rigor.
