Diamond Xhayee As Cover Story Interview – January 2026 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Diamond Xhayee. I’m a woman of many talents, host, casting director, executive producer, and brand architect focused on developing platforms that amplify plus-size talent, independent creatives, and underrepresented voices. I specialize in live event production, media development, and brand-driven storytelling that bridges culture, entertainment, and opportunity. DiamondXhayee is not just a name it’s a vision and leadership identity. I represent resilience, visibility, and ownership in spaces where voices are often overlooked. My work centers on creating safe, professional, and high-impact spaces for talent to be seen, heard, and paid whether through live events, filmed productions, interviews, or brand collaborations.
Key things I stand for:
• Authentic representation
• Plus-size and marginalized visibility
• Creative ownership
• Professional execution with cultural impact
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
I’ve experienced instability in ways that force you to grow up fast.
I’ve dealt with financial hardship, periods of housing insecurity, and long stretches where survival took priority over dreams. There were moments when consistency didn’t exist no safety net, no guarantees, just figuring it out day by day. I’ve had to rebuild from zero more than once, often while carrying responsibilities that weren’t meant for one person alone.
Beyond the material struggle, I faced emotional isolation being the strong one when I needed support, being the visionary when I was still healing. I learned early that not everyone who benefits from your light wants to help protect it. I’ve navigated betrayal, broken partnerships, and people who underestimated me because I didn’t fit their expectations of success, size, or background.
As a plus-size woman and creative entrepreneur, I’ve also dealt with systemic invisibility. Being overlooked, dismissed, or boxed in especially in spaces that profit from culture but exclude bodies and voices like mine. I’ve had to advocate for myself in rooms where I wasn’t invited to speak, and sometimes wasn’t expected to belong at all.
There were moments when quitting felt logical. When exhaustion outweighed motivation. When the weight of uncertainty, finances, and responsibility felt overwhelming. But what kept me moving was the refusal to let my circumstances write my ending.
Every struggle sharpened my instincts.
Every setback taught me structure.
Every loss clarified my purpose.
I didn’t come from comfort I came from adaptation. I learned how to create opportunity when resources were limited, how to lead without titles, and how to build platforms because I couldn’t find spaces that truly held people like me. Those hardships are the foundation of why I create what I create today. I don’t just host events or build brands I build safe rooms, visible stages, and real opportunities because I know what it feels like to be unseen, unsupported, and unheard.
My struggle didn’t break me it disciplined me. It didn’t silence me it defined my voice.
What do people usually not know about you?
What most people don’t realize is that Diamondslayagex is built directly from who I am, not just what I do. I’m very intentional, observant, and protective by nature and that’s reflected in how the company operates. Behind every event, casting call, or media platform is a lot of quiet planning, emotional intelligence, and structure. I don’t move fast for optics; I move thoughtfully for longevity. That’s why Diamondslayagex prioritizes professionalism, safety, and respect especially for plus-size talent and creatives who are often overlooked or mishandled in this industry.
People also don’t always know that I’m naturally introverted. Even though Diamondslayagex is visible, social, and high-energy, it’s actually built by someone who values preparation, boundaries, and behind-the-scenes excellence. That balance is what allows our platforms to feel welcoming without being chaotic and bold without being careless.
Another thing people don’t see is how emotionally invested I am in the people who come through Diamondslayagex. I don’t see talent as numbers or attendees I see people with stories, insecurities, and potential. Because I’ve experienced exclusion and instability myself, the company is structured to create real opportunity, not performative inclusion. That’s why Diamondslayagex focuses on real exposure, filmed content, and intentional connections, not just events for attendance.
At its core, Diamondslayagex is my values in motion, integrity, resilience, visibility, and ownership. What people may see as a brand is actually a reflection of lived experience, careful leadership, and a deep commitment to building spaces where creatives feel seen, protected, and elevated.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is that I don’t just create platforms I create protection, structure, and purpose around visibility. Many people focus on hosting events or building brands for attention. I focus on impact and sustainability. Everything I do through Diamondslayagex is rooted in lived experience, strategy, and accountability. I understand both the creative side and the human side what it means to show up vulnerable, under-resourced, and still expected to perform.
I operate differently because I’ve been on both sides of the door. I know what it feels like to be overlooked, mishandled, or promised opportunity that never materializes. That’s why Diamondslayagex isn’t about hype it’s about real exposure, real documentation, and real opportunity through filmed content, curated experiences, and intentional partnerships.
Another key difference is how I lead. I lead with emotional intelligence and boundaries. I don’t exploit talent, rush growth, or move without clarity. I take the time to build trust, set standards, and create environments where people feel safe enough to show up as their full selves. That level of care is rare in this industry and it shows in the loyalty of the community and the consistency of the work.
What truly sets me apart is that I build from purpose, not privilege. I didn’t inherit access I created it. Every system inside Diamondslayagex exists because I once needed it myself. That gives me a level of discernment, grit, and responsibility that can’t be taught. I’m not chasing trends I’m building legacy platforms that make room for voices that deserve to last.
What are your upcoming major events?
This year marks a major expansion era for Diamondslayagex, and everything we’re rolling out is intentional, elevated, and built for scale. One of our headline activations is a Ripdamic-powered artist experience, designed to disrupt how artists are introduced, positioned, and seen. This is more than a show it’s a live-filmed, high-energy moment blending performances, media, and industry-level visibility in one space.
We’re also officially touring multiple cities this year, bringing live casting calls, performances, interviews, and media activations directly to different markets. These are not passive events these are real casting opportunities, filmed and documented, giving talent tangible exposure they can leverage beyond the room.
A major milestone for us is the launch of a plus-size casting agency, built to create real representation and real placement for plus-size talent across entertainment, media, fashion, and branded content. This agency will work hand-in-hand with our casting calls, photoshoots, and live events, creating a full pipeline from discovery to development.
In addition, we’re producing professional photoshoots and visual campaigns tied to our events so talent leaves with content, assets, and positioning that actually moves their career forward.
To elevate everything even further, we’ve added OfficialTrueHeartedTV as our media manager, assisting with all media coverage, filming, interviews, and content distribution. This ensures every Diamondslayagex activation is captured, polished, and pushed with intention before, during, and after each event.
On the music side, we’re also actively searching to collaborate with a Grammy-winning artist to help create, mentor, and elevate talent within our ecosystem bridging independent culture with top-tier industry excellence.
Between the Ripdamic artist experience, nationwide casting calls, touring cities, plus-size casting agency, high-level photoshoots, and full media support, Diamondslayagex is no longer just hosting events we’re building a touring platform, casting pipeline, and media ecosystem.
This isn’t just motion. This is infrastructure, visibility, and legacy.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Stop chasing exposure if you don’t have structure.
Too many people want attention, clout, or a viral moment without having boundaries, contracts, discipline, or a clear plan. Visibility will not save you it will expose you. If you’re not organized, protected, and mentally ready, the industry will chew you up and keep moving. Another hard truth: no one is coming to save you. Waiting to be discovered is lazy thinking. If you want access, build leverage. Learn the business. Own your work. Document everything. Treat your talent like a company, not a hobby.
Also every opportunity is not a blessing. Some doors are distractions. If something requires you to shrink, overextend, work for free with no clarity, or compromise your values, walk away. Saying no is a business skill.
And finally, consistency matters more than talent. The industry is full of gifted people who can’t be trusted to show up on time, follow through, or stay professional. If you do what you say you’ll do every time you already stand out.
Be prepared. Be disciplined. Be selective. That’s how you last.
