Cassandra Bohne-Linnard was recently interviewed by TheCelebrity.Online Magazine and below is the Q&A session we had with Cassandra.
Cassandra Bohne-Linnard As Cover Story Interview – November 2025 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Cassandra Bohne-Linnard but my artist name is Cassandra Bohne-L.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
Ever since I can remember I had a deep desire to explore the world. When I finally had the chance of going off to college and beginning my adventures my family went through a major event – my mother became pregnant. Due to her age and health afflictions it would have been difficult for her to care for a newborn all alone. My family asked me if I would stay home and help her with the new baby and attend a local university. After much thought and deliberation I gave up on my dream of attending NYU and put my family first. It was a difficult decision to make but I believe it made me a stronger, better person and it prepared me for motherhood.
What do people usually not know about you?
Most people are shocked to hear that I have 5 children, including a set of twins. I love my children, my family – they are my world. It is a very busy life keeping up with my kids and my art business but it is what keeps me alive and young. The energy and the love my children give me is beyond compare.
What sets you apart from others?
As an artist entering the immense and rich world of talented artists I had to set myself apart and make my name. I have been painting oils and acrylics for almost 30 years. My paintings focus on nature’s gifts (butterflies, exotic trees, assorted blossoms, moonlight scenes) with the hopes of carrying the viewer off into another world, a dream world. But there are many artists with similar styles so I had to explore and delve further. I decided to work with real butterflies and integrate these beautiful wonders of nature into my art. After exploring different ideas and designs, I knew I hit the jackpot with my butterfly clocks. Never before in history had anyone made a clock using real preserved butterflies and when I first introduced them they were highly sought after and prized. Because of their uniqueness I quickly obtained a patent for my clocks and today they are transforming the world of interior design and art!
What are your upcoming major events?
It is with great honor to announce that a documentary telling the story of behind my art will be released in December. The documentary, Artist for Hope – Cassandra Bohne-L., will be sent to film festivals all over the world and we will have several opening / preview events in Houston, Tx. The documentary was filmed at my studio and at the Cockrell Butterfly Center at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This is a dream come true and I can’t wait for the world to see what I have to offer!
What expert advice would you like to give?
I would like to tell everyone that no matter how insurmountable it seems, no matter what the obstacles are to follow your dreams. If you have a passion it’s inside of you for a reason, it is part of you for a reason. You owe it to yourself to pursue it and share it with the world. Despite all the obstacles in my path I pursued my passion, my art and my life is complete because of it.
