Majo Abad As Cover Story Interview – September 2025 Magazine Edition
How do you introduce yourself?
Hi, I’m Majo Abad. Proudly Colombian. I’m a lawyer by profession and passionate about fitness, with a background in nutrition. I am cosmopolitan and world traveler, currently living in Dubai. My passion for fitness started at a young age when I would go to the gym with my sister and brother just for fun. Since then, it has become my greatest source of strength in life and a driving force for personal growth. My family has always been my cornerstone, providing me with values, strength, and motivation to grow. While developing my professional career working remotely, fitness has been a key part of my life, transforming me in every possible way—physically, mentally, and emotionally. It has given me discipline, consistency, and resilience, and has also opened doors to recognition on social media across different cultures and countries such as Colombia, the United Arab Emirates, and beyond.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
One of my greatest challenges was moving from Colombia to Dubai and starting from scratch in a new country. Adapting to a different language, a new culture, a different lifestyle, and a professional environment far from my family was not easy. However, thanks to my resilience, patience, and adaptability, I have grown stronger and feel more confident in facing any new opportunity.
What do people usually not know about you?
I love writing; since I was a child, I have always been recognized for it, and to this day it remains one of the things I enjoy the most. I am passionate about writing poems and letters, which I started to publish in “Substack” (platform). Reading is another of my passions, is much more than a tool: I enjoy diving into words and getting completely lost in a good book. One of my favorite writers and a proud Colombian is, Gabriel García Márquez Finally, and no less importantly, I love helping others. Serving and supporting those in need inspires me deeply and fills me with gratitude. One of my greatest dreams is to create a foundation for underprivileged children with Down syndrome in my hometown in Colombia—a project that moves my heart and that I hope to bring to life in the future. What sets you apart from others?
I am a little dreamer, both fire and calm. I am straightforward and determined, confident in who I am, and above all, not afraid of challenges. My ability to adapt and my love for exploring, pushing myself, and improving keep me striving for more. I have a strong drive to grow, achieve my goals, and succeed by completing each of my personal challenges.
What are your upcoming major events?
I am currently working on projects that have me very excited. I recently launched my eBook “5 Flat Belly Tips”, where I share simple advice for maintaining a healthy weight, reducing cellulite, and trimming belly fat. I am also preparing the launch of my second eBook, “Wellness Without Borders”, which focuses on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle when moving to a new country. I share practical strategies and tips based on my experience, helping those who want to take care of their wellbeing no matter where they are. Additionally, I am developing new eBooks and a video platform focused on effective routines for glutes and abs—two of the most requested areas by the girls who follow me and trust my recommendations. Finally, exciting collaborations with wellness brands in Dubai are coming up. I’ve worked with other local brands before, and each achievement has been incredibly rewarding.
What expert advice would you like to give?
Focus on yourself. Work toward becoming the best version of you. Believe in yourself and don’t compare your journey to anyone else’s, move at your own pace. Go after what you want, fill your life with positivity, and surround yourself with people who push you to grow. Learn to say NO. Take risks: discomfort only lasts until you achieve what you’ve been chasing. Love yourself enough that you don’t rely on anyone else for your happiness. Train, study, go after your goals, pray, love, and live passionately.
