How do you introduce yourself?

I’m an artist, singer and songwriter, owner of “V.R.H. Productions” music and video production company, public figure, content creator & fitness influencer. Known for winning the “Croatian Pop Idol”, released 3 albums, had a rock band “Žanamari & J’Animals” for 7 years. Went solo in 2015. releasing music singles such as “Pina Colada” with over 2 mil. YouTube views and “Ubijaš” with almost 1 mil. YouTube views. Currently recording my new studio album and working as an ambassador for big and successful European brands such as GymBeam. Alongside all that my most important role in life is being a mom of a gorgeous girl, and my biggest mission is to continue winning in every aspect of my life, making my girl proud and inspired, setting a great base for her future and making her dreams come true.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

Personally I didn’t have it laid out on life. Literally all of my success, what I am and what I own — I owe to myself. I am proud of that, but it took a lot of strength, especially emotional and mental to be a woman in a mans world full of judgement and prejudice, whilst also having a kid, and parents to take care of, being an only child as well.

What do people usually not know about you?

I do not share private life with the public, so media often have an issue with that and love to post versions of what they think is true about my private life. I have no problem opening up about my way of thinking and my life principles, moral values, opinions and even plans and dreams, but I do it on my own terms when I feel the need to and when I feel safe to. If someone wants to ‘pick my brain’ a lot of my most intimate thoughts and experiences are written in my songs, especially on my rock album ‘Druga vrsta’, and songs I wrote after releasing that album. Sometimes I even open up on my Instagram because it’s important to me to emphasize that real life isn’t perfect, and behind all the glam in the media and on social media there is a real person with real struggles too.

What sets you apart from others?

I like to experiment, with music genres, with fashion styles and business directions in life. My signature is being bold, not being afraid to grow, to change, and have multiple careers. That’s exactly what my true audience respects and supports about me. My mission is to be alive and flow like a river, not to stand in one spot.

What are your upcoming major events?

New album that I’m working on alongside amazing and renowned artists and producers from my region. Under Loud Music Agency label I’m creating an amazing new story with the help of Croatian rapper and producer Marko Lasić Nered, and his amazing creative team including Baby Dooks, Natko Smoljan, Haris Rahmanović Priki and many other amazing producers and songwriters. Will not name all because I wanna leave the room for the surprise factor. This project was announced with my last music video ‘Lagala’ featuring Nered and Gidra from the band Connect, that we released this summer and performed it together on well known ‘CMC Festival’. Audience loved it and I will use that energy to give them this new, unapologetic me.

What expert advice would you like to give?

Create for the creation itself, give your true self in whatever you’re doing and creating. That’s the only way to be recognized, to move peoples hearts and have their attention and trust. If you are too driven with what the audience would like you will soon blend with the mass production and lose your authenticity and that will be the end of your journey. Stay authentic even through hard times, it will pay off in the end. My authenticity signature is actually a constant change and I’m staying true to that.
