Paulina Rezende As Cover Story Interview – April 2025 Magazine Edition

How do you introduce yourself?

Hi! I’m Paulina Rezende, a 21-year-old actress, singer, and model originally from Brazil, now based in Los Angeles. I’m best known for my work on the React and People vs. Food YouTube channels, along with appearances on Jubilee and Love XO. As a model, I walked for multiple brands during LA fashion week. My most recent work in the vertical world includes starring as Rachel Winters, the psychotic villain in “The Billionaire’s Matchmaker” and as Laila Mitchell, the seductive femme fatale in “The Love Switch: Billionaire CEO vs. Mafia King” both available on the Shorts app.

Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?

One of the biggest challenges was moving to the U.S. on my own to chase my dreams. I had to adapt to a whole new language and culture while trying to break into one of the most competitive industries in the world. The rejection can be brutal, but those yeses make it all worth it.

What do people usually not know about you?

A lot of people don’t know that I’m also a singer. I have three songs out on all major music platforms: “Confidence,” “Why,” and “Prisoner.” I am also fluent in 3 languages, Portuguese, English, and Spanish, while currently learning my fourth, Italian. Most people don’t know how committed I am to my studies. In addition to acting, I’m also studying to become a lawyer. I currently hold a 4.0 GPA and have made the Dean’s List once again for academic excellence.

What sets you apart from others?

What sets me apart is my persistence and determination. I simply don’t give up. I’ve been dedicated to my craft for over six years, constantly growing and pushing myself as an actress. My ability to Portuguese, English, and Spanish makes me versatile on screen, and my cultural background allows me to step into diverse roles with a fresh perspective and deeper authenticity.

What are your upcoming major events ?

There are some exciting roles in the works that I can’t talk about yet, but 2025 is going to be a big year.

What expert advice would you like to give?

My best advice is to chase your dreams instead of waiting for them to find you. You have the power to shape your own career, so make connections, sharpen your craft, create your own content, and put your work out there. Find a great agent, stay consistent, and don’t be afraid to take up space. Your moment will come, but only if you keep showing up for it.
