How do you introduce yourself?
My name is Jennifer, but I go by Jenn! I’m 31 years old, living in New Jersey, and I work as a Lead for IT Operations Reporting. I have Master’s Degrees in Business Management for Cyber Security and Project Management. I’m also a proud dog mom to my beautiful corgi, Lani.
Struggle – What hardships have you gone through in life?
One of my greatest hardships was losing my mother to Pancreatic Cancer. Becoming her caregiver was a life-changing experience that tested me physically, mentally, and emotionally. It forced me to grow quickly, find resilience in dark hours, and appreciate people and moments for everything they are.
What do people usually not know about you?
Many people don’t know that I’m a dedicated runner. Running helps me clear my mind and challenge myself. One of my proudest moments was completing the New York City Marathon, which taught me discipline, perseverance, and how far I’m willing to push myself to achieve my goals.
What sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my heart. I try to find the deeper meaning behind everything I do and move through life with kindness and compassion. I’m reminded of my mother’s legacy and strive to be a light in the lives of others, showing them that we can always find a way through challenges.
What are your upcoming major events?
Right now, I’m taking it easy after a few challenging years. However, I plan to participate in a few half marathons in the near future!
What expert advice would you like to give?
My advice is to keep pushing through in every area of life – relationships, professionally, and personally. With dedication and determination, anything can be achieved. Don’t give up on your dreams, and always be unapologetically yourself.
